The market capitalization of companies listed on BSE SME platform crossed USD 1 billion mark, with the rate of Rs 60.18 per USD, as of last week Friday. BSE commenced the SME platform in March 2012. In a little over two years, BSE has achieved more than 90 percent market share helping Indian SMEs create a market capitalisation of more than USD 1 billion. Average IPO size on BSE SME is close to Rs 9 crore per issue.
