Parliament has been informed that the Tanzania Women Bank (TWB) is actually issuing more loans to men than it is to women, contravening the theme of its name and even its mission to empower women economically and socially.
Data presented before the National Assembly holds that, about 77 percent of the bank’s loan facilities the beneficiaries are men, while women, the original intended primary benefactor get a mere 22 percent of loan services from the bank
