This IFC report identifies SME finance mechanisms based on 164 case studies collected worldwide and makes recommendations on how to scale up SME finance sustainably focusing on three areas: (1) legislation, regulation, and supervision (2) financial market infrastructure (3) public intervention and support mechanisms.
