Momentum Builds for Impact Investing: Report

Impact investing, which seeks both a financial return and a social or environmental payoff, is facing double-digit growth this year, according to a new report from J.P. Morgan and the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN). Their latest survey of 125 of the world's largest impact investors, including fund managers, banks, foundations, and pension funds, finds that investors in the sector expect to devote 19 percent more capital to impact investments in 2014 compared to 2013. The survey finds that this market niche is continuing its growth amid greater government support, new product and fund launches, and widespread efforts to properly measure impact.
