Following the acceptance by the Board of Directors of Intesa Sanpaolo (a SME Finance Forum member) of the offer that the Bank received from Intrum, Intesa Sanpaolo and Intrum signed a binding agreement to establish a strategic partnership regarding the impaired loans (NPL), which provides for two transactions:
- The establishment of a leading operator in the servicing of NPL in the Italian market, with the integration of the Italian platforms of Intesa Sanpaolo and Intrum.
- Sale and securitization of a significant portfolio of non-performing loans of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, one of the most important transactions in the Italian market, amounting to 10.8 billion euros gross of value adjustments, at a price in line with the value load already determined for the part of Group non-performing loans with transferability characteristics, considering the sales scenario.
