Around the world mobile is having a significant positive impact on economic development and individual wellbeing. With mobile, people are seeing access to services such as health and banking opening up, and new opportunities for entrepreneurship emerging. Scale-up of access to mobile technology could generate an estimated annual economic benefit of US$0.5 billion for women in 2020.
