Karla Espinoza is a results-driven operations leader with extensive experience in strategic initiatives, fostering public-private partnerships, and leading cross-functional teams. At the SME Finance Forum, part of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in Washington, DC, she successfully managed the Global SME Finance Forum 2024, 2023 and 2022 and coordinated several other key activities. Previously, she served as Project Coordinator/Economic Consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), leading a $10.9M technical cooperation and producing key knowledge products. Her private sector experience includes C-level roles at Club Med and Mexicana and Aeromexico Airlines, where she achieved significant revenue growth.
Karla holds a Master in Economics and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, Mexico. She further enriched her expertise with an International Business specialty from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, Spain. Residing in Virginia with her husband and two children, Karla dedicates her spare time to advocating for social causes. With her dynamic skill set and unwavering commitment to excellence, Karla will continue to make significant contributions to the operation of the SME Finance Forum and business development.
