Members Only Webinar: Impact of Basel III on SME Lending
This webinar will explore the impact of the proposed changes to the Basel III capital framework on SME lending. Is derisking by foreign and domestic banks affecting SME lending banks? Are capital requirements impacting banks’ ability to lend to SMEs? What are the potential effects of certain exogenous events on banks’ ability to serve their SME clients? Specifically, increased capital requirements, coupled with increasing costs associated with Know-Your-Customer (KYC), Anti-Money-Laundering (AML) and Combating the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) compliance seem to have affected cross-border banking activities, particularly the correspondent banking business. What can banks do to counter these effects?
Join Bill Haworth for a discussion and Q&A.
